Warning to visitors to Torrevieja
The Guardia Civil in Torrevieja are looking for three girls who have robbed elderly people inside and outside banks.
Apparently this has occurred on two occasions where the victims have withdrawn large amounts of money from Banco Santander in the Paseo de Vista Alegre and another in Calle Ramon Gallud.
It seems that one of the girls might have been watching the victims withdrawing cash and robbed them as they were still inside the bank or just outside. One girl occupied the victim talking to him/her whilst the others surprised and robbed them.
WARNING – When visiting Torrevieja (or anywhere else) always be careful in putting money away and out of sight when inside banks, supermarkets or shops in a way that no-one can see what you are doing.
Never leave these premises before you have done this. Always be aware of what is going on around you and if suspicious make staff aware of what is going on.
